Caurus Academy were the 56-41 winner over the Orme Warriors when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Caurus Academy took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orme. Caurus Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Orme to victory were Owen Rudolph and Bartek Kreglewski. Rudolph scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Kreglewski scored 18 points along with seven steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rudolph has scored all season.
Caurus Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Orme, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caurus Academy will face off against Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Trinity Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. Orme won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against BASIS - Prescott at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (BASIS - Prescott is ranked 265th, while Orme is ranked 255th).
