The Collinsville Kahoks will face off against the Granite City Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Collinsville will be strutting in after a victory while Granite City will be coming in after a loss.
Collinsville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Cahokia a 16-0 shutout on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Kahoks considering their one-run performance the match before.
Ali Vieluf was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

Triad hit Granite City with a nine-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors came up short against the Knights, falling 18-3. The Warriors have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.
Chloe Randolph made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Shelbie Borth also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Granite City's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Collinsville, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-16.
Collinsville's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Kahoks have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Granite City, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Collinsville continue to outrun the ball?
Collinsville might still be hurting after the 14-3 loss they got from Granite City in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Kahoks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
