It was a good run, but the Lincoln Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 67-58 to Pioneer. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lincoln's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mussie Yimer, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Hooks, who scored 13 points.
Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Pioneer, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6.
Lincoln will take on Westmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westmont is on a three-game streak of home wins, Lincoln a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Pioneer will take on Prospect at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Prospect is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
