The Mountain View Academy Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against The Nueva School Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain View Academy will be strutting in after a win while The Nueva School will be coming in after a defeat.
Mountain View Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Varsity Opponent 54-51.
Mountain View Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Penaflorida out in front who scored 14 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Malo, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, The Nueva School ended up a good deal behind Crystal Springs Uplands on Tuesday and lost 70-53.
Mountain View Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for The Nueva School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
