The Okawville Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 26 points or more this season. They took their game on the road on Monday with ease, bagging a 54-24 victory over Wesclin. The win was familiar territory for Okawville who now have six in a row.
Leading Okawville to victory were Madisyn Wienstroer and Alayna Kraus. Wienstroer scored 13 points, while Kraus scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. The contest was Kraus' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Adysen Harre, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Okawville pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Wesclin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Okawville will head out on the road to face off against Nashville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nashville's defense has only allowed 23.5 points per game this season, so Okawville's offense will have their work cut out for Okawville. Wesclin will be home for the holidays to greet Gibault Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
