The Frankenmuth Eagles entered their tilt with the Garber Dukes with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Frankenmuth breezed by Garber at home to the tune of 65-13. The result was nothing new for Frankenmuth, who have now won nine matches by 25 points or more so far this season.
Frankenmuth can attribute much of their success to Jack Rich, who rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 77 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Kobbi Ke, who rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Despite the loss, Garber still got an impressive performance from Max Fellows, who picked up 209 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Frankenmuth's win was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.45 points. As for Garber, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Frankenmuth will be playing at home against Birch Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Birch Run will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Frankenmuth is ranked 28th). Garber does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
