West Jefferson never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Fairbanks on Tuesday. Jenna Mannon made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Payton Curry and Mia Burgett did most of the damage at the plate: Curry went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Burgett went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those three RBI gave Curry a new career-high. Emma Trein was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
West Jefferson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairbanks only posted an OBP of .133.
West Jefferson is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Central Crossing, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
