Basketball Recap: Lamar Christian's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

Lamar Christian dropped down to 6-3 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. The matchup between the Lions and the Christian Collegiate Academy Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Lions falling 77-63. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-63 last Friday.

As for Christian Collegiate Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.5 points over those games.

Tahj Hill produced another solid effort shooting 56% from the field to rack up 33 points and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 41.2% three-point shooting accuracy. Noah Davis was another key player, putting up 18 points and five rebounds.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar Christian will face off against Amite School Center at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Christian Collegiate Academy, they and St. Stanislaus will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
