Rockwall-Heath came out on top against Longview on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run sixth inning. The Hawks put the hurt on the Lobos with a sharp 17-4 victory. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Alex Pitre looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
On the hitting side, Rockwall-Heath got a massive performance out of Piper Moore, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Rockwall-Heath is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Rockwall hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Rockwall-Heath struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Rockwall's way against Rockwall-Heath in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Rockwall made off with a 9-3 victory. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
