Gainesville extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Julia Payne. The Gainesville Red Elephants took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 73-44 win over the Johns Creek Gladiators thanks in part to Payne, who posted 27 points and four steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 16.6 points per game.

Despite the defeat, Johns Creek had strong showings from Emily Jackson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds, and Grace Landeck, who put up 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That was a full 38.6% of Johns Creek's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards.

Gainesville's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Johns Creek, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Gainesville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-34 win against Chattahoochee on the 6th. As for Johns Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-25 defeat against Lanier on the 6th.
