Sheridan is 8-2 against Taylor since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sheridan Blackhawks will head out on the road to take on the Taylor Titans at 6:00 p.m. Sheridan will be looking to extend their current 18-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, Sheridan didn't have too much trouble with Southmont as they won 72-55. Given the Blackhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Mounties are ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sheridan had a senior duo take command as Kenzie Garner shot 5-for-9 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds and Cecilia Timme went 10 of 20 on her way to 23 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Timme has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brielle Garner, who went 5 for 11 en route to 15 points and four steals.
Sheridan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Taylor had to suffer through a 58-29 loss at the hands of Rochester. The defeat continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Zebras: they've now lost three in a row.
Sheridan will have to contain Jallainah Harris as she made an impact in Taylor's last game. She almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 58.6% of Taylor's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Sheridan hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 59 points per game. It's a different story for Taylor, though, as they've been averaging only 33.9 points. The only thing between Sheridan and another offensive beatdown is Taylor. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for Sheridan against Taylor when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 79-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sheridan since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
