Lynn had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Carbon Hill Bulldogs. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.
Ashton Hopkins was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hopkins was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
