For the second straight game, Zion Christian Academy will face off against Loretto. Zion Christian Academy will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Loretto at 6:00 p.m. Zion Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Zion Christian Academy and Loretto had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Zion Christian Academy blew past Loretto 12-4 on Monday. Considering the Eagles have won three matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Marleigh McWilliams was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. McWilliams was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Bella Waller was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Charlee Cheek, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one triple.

Zion Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Zion Christian Academy pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 13.2 hits in those games compared to only 5.2 in the others. As for Loretto, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
