Fort Campbell was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight  defeat. They took  a  51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Community Christian Warriors. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in February of 2024.

 Israel Dillard and  Tyrek Anthony certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss.  Dillard  dropped  a double-double with 18  points and 12  boards, while  Anthony  posted 14 points in addition to seven  rebounds and four  steals. With that strong performance,  Dillard is now averaging an impressive 15 points per game.
 Even though they lost, Fort Campbell  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 13  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 11  offensive rebounds in three consecutive  games.
Fort Campbell's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Community Christian, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-8.
 Looking ahead,  it'll be a Battle of the Birds when  the Falcons  duke it out with  the Eagles at 3:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Fort Knox has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Community Christian, they will welcome Fort Campbell  at 4:30  p.m.  on February 22nd.
