St. Edmund Prep was dealt a 51-22 loss at the hands of Kennedy Catholic on Saturday. St. Edmund Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-5.
When it comes to explaining why St. Edmund Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is MacKenzie Palisi. Despite the final result, she scored 10 points. Palisi scored a full 45.5% of St. Edmund Prep's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Isabella Passaro was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.
St. Edmund Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Kennedy Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
St. Edmund Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Dominican Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kennedy Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Holy Cross at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
