The Camden County Wildcats will face off against the Colquitt County Packers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Georgia (Camden County is ranked 28th, while Colquitt County is ranked 30th).
After a string of three wins, Camden County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 60-35 defeat at the hands of Lowndes. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Camden County has scored all season.
In what's become a running theme this season, Colquitt County gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They claimed a resounding 57-29 victory over Brooks County at home. Colquitt County pushed the score to 52-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Brooks County cut but never quite recovered from.
Colquitt County relied on the efforts of Nyleigha Knighton, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Amira Walters- smith, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Knighton continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amareyia Knighton, who scored 11 points.
Camden County's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-5. As for Colquitt County, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4.
Camden County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Colquitt County in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 46-42 victory.
