Travelers Rest's three-game streak of losses has finally come to an end. They blew past Blue Ridge 43-18. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for Travelers Rest, who can brag about five blowout wins.
Travelers Rest's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 21 points in the first half. Blue Ridge wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 12 to make it 21-12 heading into the break. Travelers Rest's offense just added to that total in the second half en route to their big win.
Travelers Rest's win brought them up to 6-3. Blue Ridge's loss pushes them down to 1-8.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Travelers Rest will take on Berea at 7:30 PM. Berea are limping into the match on a seven-game losing streak. As for Blue Ridge, they will face off against Greer. Blue Ridge stagger into the matchup hobbled by three consecutive losses while Greer skip in buoyed by eight consecutive wins.
