Video: Top High School Football Plays Week 6Check out the best of the best from the past weekend.
The 10 teams in this week's Top 10 are the same teams as last week. The order of the 10 best in this week's MaxPreps Xcellent Top 25 National Volleyball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard are very different, however.
Assumption (Louisville, Ky.) remained No. 1, followed by last week's No. 2 Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, Calif.) and No. 3 Yorktown (Ind.).
The No. 1 Rockets ran their 2018 record to 26-0 and their two-year win streak to 42 straight. Last Saturday, they beat Louisville rival Sacred Heart 3-1 (25-21, 25-18, 20-25, 25-14).
And while Nos. 1-3 stayed the same, the rest of the Top 10 saw movement. Marist (Chicago), winners of 50 straight over two years, moved to No. 4 flip flopping with Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.). Unbeaten Wando (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) flip flopped with Byron Nelson (Trophy Club, Texas)
And Torrey Pines (San Diego) traded places with Plant (Fla.). Rounding out the Top 10 is Blue Valley North (Overland, Kan.).
The biggest mover of the week was Mattawan (Mich.), which vaulted from unranked to No. 15. Millennium (Goodyear, Ariz.) had a big week and jumped eight spots.
Kamehameha Kapalama (Honolulu) returned to the Top 25 after missing last week.
In addition to Mattawan, new to the Top 25 this week are Little Chute (Wis.) and Marymount (Los Angeles).
Despite six losses on the season, Marymount won five straight to win the prestigious Phoenix Nike Tournament of Champions last weekend. The Sailors have lost four times to teams ranked in the Top 10. They opened the season ranked No. 5 in preseason rankings.
