The Mountain View Thunder entered their tilt with the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Mountain View strolled past Edmonds-Woodway with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 42-28.
Mountain View had a senior duo take command as Porter Drake rushed for 231 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per carry and Cash Cook rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Mountain View also got help from JJ Thompson who showed off his sure hands for 82 receiving yards.
Mountain View's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Heritage and 2-7 Prairie (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.4% over those games). As for Edmonds-Woodway, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Edmonds-Woodway also has no future games currently scheduled.
