The Keenan Raiders will take on the Westview Chargers in a holiday battle at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday at. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Keenan sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-45 victory over Lower Richland.
Meanwhile, Westview had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 51-42 victory over South Fulton. Given Westview's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while South Fulton is ranked 146th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kylee Alexander was her usual excellent self, scoring 30 points. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Mccall Sims was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Keenan's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Westview, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
