Electra is 8-2 against Munday since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Electra Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Munday Moguls at 8:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Electra gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 82-49 win over Harrold. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Electra.
Meanwhile, Munday had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They secured a 64-60 W over Crowell. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Talan Collins and Mance Phillips were among the main playmakers for Munday as the former dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Phillips continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Willison, who scored 17 points.
Electra pushed their record up to 21-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Munday, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
Electra beat Munday 52-43 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Electra since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
