Basketball Recap: Lorena Has No Trouble Against Robinson

Lorena posted their biggest win since December 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 64-42 margin over the Robinson Rockets. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Rockets are ranked 1028th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Robinson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Terry, who posted ten points. Terry continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jett Shade was another key player, putting up 12 points and six rebounds.

Lorena has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Robinson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-17.

Lorena has already played their next contest, a 53-42 victory against Gatesville on the 24th. As for Robinson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-54 defeat against Connally on the 24th.
