Flat Rock barely beat Airport the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Jets on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Mikey Giroux was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last four games. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayden Yancy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Flat Rock's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Airport, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flat Rock will host Ecorse at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Airport, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Divine Child at 4:30 p.m. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Jets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
