In what's become a running theme this season, the Plateau Valley Cowboys gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Cedaredge 63-39. The win was familiar territory for Plateau Valley who now have six in a row.
Plateau Valley was led to victory by Colter Ralston and Jack Vig. Ralston scored 18 points along with four steals, while Vig dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ralston has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Bevan, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Luke Maxey and Logan Tullis certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Maxey scored 17 points along with two steals, while Tullis scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jacob Bowler, who scored five points along with four blocks.
Plateau Valley's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Cedaredge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plateau Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Park at 2:30 p.m. on January 6th. North Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 316th, while Plateau Valley is ranked 34th). As for Cedaredge, they will head out on the road to challenge Nucla at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
