The Kimball Jaguars can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They strolled past Sierra with points to spare, taking the game 60-45. The win was just what Kimball needed coming off of a 68-41 defeat in their prior game.
Kimball was led to victory by Osama Mirghani and Madhav Asija. Mirghani scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Asija scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Asija has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Pelech, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
The win got Kimball back to even at 12-12. As for Sierra, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kimball will face off against Manteca at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Manteca focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Friday. As for Sierra, they will head out on the road to take on Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Catholic will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
