The Fort Calhoun Pioneers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 53-44 victory over Raymond Central. This was a revenge contest for Fort Calhoun, as the team was forced to settle for a 57-49 defeat when these two played two weeks ago.
Fort Calhoun found their leader in underclassman Raeann Massey, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Massey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bria Bench, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Fort Calhoun has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Raymond Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-9.
Fort Calhoun does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Raymond Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
