On Tuesday, Mater Dei didn't have too much trouble with Nokomis at home as they won 58-44. That's two games straight that Mater Dei has won by exactly 14 points.
Mater Dei got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Drake Wagner out in front who scored 23 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Wagner has scored at least 25% of Mater Dei's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Lampe, who scored 18 points along with six assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Mater Dei and bumps their season record up to 9-10. As for Nokomis, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
Mater Dei will head out on the road to face off against St. Anthony at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in St. Anthony's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Mater Dei has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Nokomis will take on Edinburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
