Yarmouth had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. It was close but no cigar for Yarmouth as they fell 19-21 to Oak Hill on Saturday. If Yarmouth were hoping to take revenge for the 12-36 loss against Oak Hill the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Yarmouth off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Oak Hill a 1-0 record.
Yarmouth will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Leavitt at 7:00 PM. Oak Hill are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Winthrop/Monmouth Academy next week at 7:00 PM.
