Baseball Recap: White Station Has No Trouble Against Kingsbury

White Station got themselves on the board against Kingsbury on Wednesday, but Kingsbury never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Falcons. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won six matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Benjamin Mendez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mendez was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, White Station got a massive performance out of Hayes Bennett, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave Bennett a new career-high. Julian Haddad was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

White Station was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kingsbury only posted a batting average of .000.

White Station moved to 11-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Kingsbury, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White Station will challenge Harding Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Kingsbury, they will take on Bolton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
