The Palmyra Cougars will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Hershey Trojans at 7:05 p.m. Palmyra is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
Last Friday, Palmyra was beaten by Milton Hershey 41-6. Palmyra was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.
Meanwhile, Hershey fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Lower Dauphin on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 21-14 to the Falcons. Despite 62 more yards than Lower Dauphin, Hershey couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Although Hershey took the loss, they still got scores from Anthony Vasquezi and Angel Cabrera.
The losses dropped Palmyra to 2-7 and Hershey to 6-3.
Palmyra came up short against Hershey in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 17-7. Thankfully for Palmyra, Maurice Collins (who rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
