Heyworth had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Cornerstone Christian Cyclones as they made off with a 10-1 win. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Hunter Bockelman was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Maddox Klawitter was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Denning, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Heyworth pushed their record up to 19-14 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Cornerstone Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.

Coming up, Heyworth will head out on the road to take on Olympia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will be playing at home against Unity Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
