While Monroeville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Bucyrus Redmen on Thursday as they made off with a 13-3 win. Considering the Eagles have won five matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Monroeville and bumps their season record up to 6-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Bucyrus, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Monroeville will challenge Woodmore at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Bucyrus, they will square off against Colonel Crawford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
