The East Clarendon Wolverines will head out to take on the South Florence Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Clarendon will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
If East Clarendon beats South Florence with ten runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. East Clarendon came out on top against Hannah-Pamplico by a score of 10-7 on Tuesday.

Foster Matthews was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hunter Mixon, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two stolen bases. Gavin White was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Florence). They blew past Darlington 19-4 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Kellin Croshaw looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since March 4th.
At the plate, Jhordyn Johnson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most hits he has posted since March 1st. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalon McGee, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
South Florence was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
East Clarendon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for South Florence, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
East Clarendon came out on top in a nail-biter against South Florence when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Clarendon since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
