The South Putnam Eagles will face off against the Indian Creek Braves at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Indian Creek will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: South Putnam extended their winning streak to four on Thursday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over Cloverdale.

Taylor Boyce made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs.
In other batting news, Joslyn Bumgardner was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Elliana Cox, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
South Putnam kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They got five more hits than Cloverdale's also-impressive total of 12.
Indian Creek came out on top against Cloverdale on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Braves were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Clovers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.
Like South Putnam, Indian Creek also got a great game from a two-way player: Kristen Soots. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. What's more, Soots posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
In other pitching news, Lexi Smith looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Jasmine Day was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Schaub, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Indian Creek pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for South Putnam, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. South Putnam has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .516. However, it's not like Indian Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .445. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
