After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Laurel brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their defense stepped up to hand the Seaford Bluejays an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. This was a revenge game for Laurel: when they faced off against Seaford back in October of 2024, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Laurel's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4-1. As for Seaford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel will host Sussex Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Seaford, they will welcome Nandua at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Seaford are facing Nandua at the right time seeing as Nandua are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
