West Seattle is a perfect 6-0 against Rainier Beach since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. West Seattle will host Rainier Beach at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Thursday, West Seattle made easy work of Chief Sealth and carried off a 22-9 victory. Considering West Seattle has won four games by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kaila Ignacio made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, West Seattle got a massive performance out of Molly Lefkowitz, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles Lefkowitz has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Stella Eley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
West Seattle hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Rainier Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 40-22 to Cleveland. On the bright side, the 22- run performance marked the Vikings' highest-scoring matchup to date.
Rainier Beach saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Kabatxi, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Another was Cori Morrow, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs and one RBI.
West Seattle's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Rainier Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
Rainier Beach's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. West Seattle has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Rainier Beach, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts. Will West Seattle keep running through batters, or will Rainier Beach buck the trend?
West Seattle got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2024 against Rainier Beach by a conclusive 13-2 score. Does West Seattle have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rainier Beach turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
