The Agua Fria Owls suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 67-46 defeat at the hands of Peoria. Agua Fria has not had much luck with Peoria recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Agua Fria's loss came despite strong showings from Jonathan Daniels jr and Bryan Burrows. Daniels jr scored ten points along with nine rebounds, while Burrows scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Nehemiah Ward was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Desmone Brooks-conley, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Agua Fria has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Peoria, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Agua Fria will challenge Cactus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cactus knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten contests -- so hopefully Agua Fria likes a good challenge. As for Peoria, they will head out on the road to take on Estrella Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Estrella Foothills is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
