Softball Recap: Central City Value Wins Going Away Against Animo Bunche

Central City Value won the last time they faced Animo Bunche and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Stallions. Considering the Jaguars have won eight games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mercedes Ponce was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. Ponce was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Central City Value got a massive performance out of Lea Crudi, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Emily Gonzalez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Central City Value and bumps their season record up to 9-4. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 13.5 runs. As for Animo Bunche, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
