Apex Friendship has gone 8-2 against Green Level recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Patriots will head out to face off against the Gators at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Green Level will be up against a hot Apex Friendship team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over Felton Grove on Wednesday. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Noah Roberts looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Braden Bloom was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2025. Max Feuer also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Apex Friendship was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Felton Grove only posted a batting average of .261.
Meanwhile, Green Level got the win against Carrboro on Wednesday by a conclusive 17-3. That looming 17-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Gators yet this season.
Nicky Donaldson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has become a key player for Green Level: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 1-5 otherwise. Donaldson was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other pitching news, Nathaniel Anderson looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Green Level got a massive performance out of Camden Miller, who went 4-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ben Bernard, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Apex Friendship now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Green Level, their record is now 5-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Apex Friendship has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Green Level struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Apex Friendship was able to grind out a solid victory over Green Level when the teams last played on Tuesday, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
