The Lincoln Prep Lightning will be playing at home against the Valley Lutheran Flames at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Prep is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Last Tuesday, Lincoln Prep ended up a good deal behind Hayden and lost 55-36.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Mark Cornell, who scored nine points. Luke Nielsen was another key contributor, scoring three points along with two steals.
Even though Valley Lutheran has not done well against Cicero Prep Academy recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Valley Lutheran escaped with a win against Cicero Prep Academy by the margin of a single free throw, 46-45. The win made it back-to-back wins for Valley Lutheran.
Lincoln Prep's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Valley Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
Lincoln Prep took their victory against Valley Lutheran in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 71-46. Will Lincoln Prep repeat their success, or does Valley Lutheran have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
