Basketball Recap: Kallie Marsh's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Arlington over North Forsyth

Arlington suffered their biggest loss since February 23, 2024 on Monday. They lost 68-42 to the North Forsyth Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 208th in Tennessee, while the Raiders are ranked ninth in Georgia).

Arlington lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kallie Marsh, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. Marsh has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Zaria Moss was another key player, going 5 of 8 on her way to 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Arlington and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for North Forsyth, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Arlington Tigers take on the Southwind Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for North Forsyth, they will venture away from home to take on Forsyth Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. One thing working in North Forsyth's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matchups.
