Greenleaf Friends Academy got a massive performance out of Holli Kirschbaum, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, five RBI, and two doubles. Kirschbaum has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashton Decker, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Glenns Ferry waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 17-1 victory. The Pilots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Natalie Hernandez was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Madison Fisher was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.
Glenns Ferry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Notus only posted an OBP of .391.
Glenns Ferry's record is now 14-2. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Greenleaf Friends Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .551.
