Maryville waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Bearden Bulldogs. With that win, the Red Rebels brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Isabella Saunders made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Maples, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Harper White, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
