Upper St. Clair hit Chartiers Valley with a six-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Colts came up short against the Panthers, falling 11-2.

Meanwhile, Beaver made easy work of North Catholic on Tuesday and carried off a 14-4 win. The matchup marked the Bobcats' most dominant victory of the season.
Beaver got a massive performance out of Maddox Tanner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Tanner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Maze, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Beaver was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Chartiers Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Beaver, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Chartiers Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Beaver struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Chartiers Valley suffered a grim 11-4 defeat to Beaver in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Colts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
