There's no place like home for the Nipmuc Regional Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past Blackstone-Millville with a 24-20 victory on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Nipmuc Regional also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Grace Buzzell and Hailey Ducharme certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Buzzell scored eight points, while Ducharme scored six points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Buzzell has scored all season.
The win got Nipmuc Regional back to even at 3-3. As for Blackstone-Millville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nipmuc Regional won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dighton-Rehoboth Regional at 5:30 p.m. on January 10th. Dighton-Rehoboth Regional is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Blackstone-Millville, they will head out on the road to face off against Douglas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
