The Dansville Aggies had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They snuck past Saranac with a 66-62 win. With that victory, Dansville brought their scoring average up to 50.9 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dansville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Drew Frantz, who scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Frantz continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Neal, who scored 14 points.
Dansville pushed their record up to 10-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Saranac, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dansville will take on Pewamo-Westphalia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Pewamo-Westphalia's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches. As for Saranac, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Laingsburg at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Laingsburg will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something Saranac surely won't give up without a fight.
