Beachside hasn't had much luck against Menendez recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. Beachside is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Beachside's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Tocoi Creek. While the Barracudas didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Madden Lutze made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Jurgens, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Menendez made sure to put some runs up on the board against Orange Park last Thursday. Menendez blew past Orange Park 15-6. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by nine runs or more this season.
Madelyn Brown looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. She also put up three walks, which were her first of the season.
At the plate, Meghan Dawson was a standout: she went 2-for-6 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Madison Faust was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
Menendez hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 3-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Beachside pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Menendez, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Beachside has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Menendez struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Beachside might still be hurting after the 11-3 defeat they got from Menendez in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Beachside have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
