Beechwood earned some more postseason success in their matchup on Friday. They steamrolled past West Carter 42-7. Beechwood's victory was all the more impressive since West Carter was averaging only ten points allowed on the season.
The Tigers' offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 21 points in the first half. Meanwhile, West Carter couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 21 to nothing heading into the break. The Tigers put the game away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and seven points allowed from the defense.
Beechwood will take on Breathitt County in each of the teams' fourth playoff contest on Friday. Breathitt County has averaged 50.62 points over the course of their past 13 games, so Beechwood might be in for a challenge. West Carter's playoff loss brings an end to their season.
