Chamblee enjoyed a cozy 57-38 win over the Bulldogs on Friday. Given Chamblee's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 481st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chamblee's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alana Azeta, who made all 9 shots she took from beyond the arc racking up 21 points and 2 assists. Azeta has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last eight times she's played. Brianna Wood was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Chamblee has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Lithonia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
