Northview had lost nine games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 4-5 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Shakamak Lakers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
Maggie Krause made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Finley Frazier was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mackie Pell, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
